Out front of the Allstars 11th August is Mr Hoodoo heself, Mr Julian James. Julian’s been touring over 200 gigs per year across Australia on the back of his latest fabulous release ‘Silver Spade‘. James also fronts the powerhouse Melbourne Chicago style outfit Catfish Voodoo on vox and guitar. You’ll get a heavy dose of that driving electric magic from Julian as he works through some hard won blues. After countless appearances at festivals, country halls and inner city bars, expect to be switched on baby, or check yer pulse. Yeah!!

Elwood Blues Club has had a fine few weeks at the Fyrefly in St Kilda, and thanks to all the punters and jammers who came down to this fine venue. On the commercial side, however, the numbers didn’t stack up for the Sunday evening slot so we need to look for new digs.
